Pumpkins, Parties & Sasquatch Porn (My weekend in SV)

Awesome weekend

Thursday: Went over to the Jones house to carve pumpkins for the party. I haven’t carved pumpkins since I was like 15, so that was pretty cool. I went for the classic Jack-o’-Lantern look, but was rightfully overshadowed by Mikhail’s awesome Pinhead pumpkin;

After the carving we all sat on the couch and watched a softcore Canadian porno called Sweet Prudence & the Erotic Adventure of Bigfoot. It was incredible, as I’m sure this screen shot illustrates;

The only bad thing was that the sasquatch suit they used had the same mask from Bigfoot: The Unforgettable Encounter. That’s always terrible when you see beloved things from your childhood used in porn. I remember a few years ago I saw a video of a woman making love to a hydraulic dildo machine in some warehouse, and in the background you could see Johnny 5 (the adorable robot from Short Circuit) just sitting there facing the wall. Poor Johnny. That was probably more input than he wanted.

Saturday: Big Halloween party at Casa Jones. I was a little nervous about going because I knew that one of my exes would be there, and we haven’t seen or spoken to each other in over 3 years. Talking to exes is always weird because in order to be appropriate you both have to pretend you don’t know each other nearly as well as you do. It’s just awkward shaking hands with someone and exchanging dry “How do you do?”s when you used to have orgasms on their face. Plus, I still have her volumes 2 & 3 of Sláine: The Horned God, which I guess I’ll have to finally return.

But anyway, the party was great. My ex and I talked and things were totally fine/cool/unawkward, which is probably a bigger relief to me than I even realize. The decorations were awesome, I met and talked to some really cool people, and a 6 ft 2 white boy dressed as the Tapatio hot sauce man nearly vomited all over my shoes while I was dancing. Only my ninja-like reflexes saved me.

The best part of the night for me was that for once in my life, I finally had a costume people liked. Usually my costumes either suck ass or nobody knows what I’m supposed to be, but ‘Ninja Please’ got a lot of compliments and it made me feel like a sexy winner. Plus, I now have a rad ninja costume to wear when I spy on my neighbors.

All in all it was a good party.
